When re-starting my blog one of the aims was to move away from the ‘health’ aspect of it. As I’m getting better I felt there was nothing really left to say, I mean there’s only a certain amount of times you can describe a blood test…
For me 2016 was going to be a fresh start, goodbye autoimmune disease, hello normal healthy Stephanie… Why do my intensions always go wrong!
The morning of new years eve saw me go for the standard thyroid blood test. I was feeling quite sassy and quietly confident that my results were going to be perfect. Fast forward 10 hours, it’s 6pm and my doctors ringing me (why is she even still at work!?)
Doctor: Hello Stephanie, I’m ringing you to let you know your thyroid has stopped working again… We need to see you ASAP and get you back on medication.
AHHHHHH
So, I’m meeting with my Endocrinologist next week to discuss. I confuse the medical professionals. My doctor has referred to me as a ‘unique case’ I’m not gaining weight like other Hypo’s, I have energy, I work long days on my feet and go out with friends in the evenings. People keep saying it’s just a phase and I’ll be back to bedridden if I don’t go back onto medication. Quite frankly I’m confused!
The photo on the left was taken when I was ‘sick’ weighing in at 6stone, no energy, no muscles and emotionless. The photo on the right was taken a few weeks ago at 7 1/2 stone, bundles of energy, muscles and happy.
Can anyone shed some light? I thought I was rid of this stupid condition.
