Sundays are far becoming one of my favourite days. There’s just something so dreamy about them. I can be productive yet not have to rush around like a headless chicken, and it seems everyone else is in that chilled out mindset too.

Up there with one of my favourite local walking spots is the canal at Winkwell. You can walk for miles watching the barges pass you by and admiring the simple yet fascinating canal locks at work.

I recommend parking at The Three Horseshoes pub (Today I filled myself full of their wonderful food before commencing the walk, blog post to follow) Then walk in the direction of Berkhamsted. It’s roughly a 3 mile walk to the high street. You can then enjoy all the quaint coffee shops and antique shops before strolling back, and if you’re feeling parched why not stop back in at the pub for a cheeky tipple!
