Winter Wonderland

WW2

This year saw the reunion of myself and Winter Wonderland after having not been for 2 years.
I was a little unsure before we arrived, wondering if the hype of the whole thing had worn off with me. I was pleasantly proven wrong as it appears this year seemed bigger and better.

My friend and I couldn’t quite work out what we wanted to do first… mulled wine, sausages, funfair, more mulled wine, dance, pretzels, christmas market?!
In the end we decided to just walk round and pretty much stop at each bar. Our first mulled wine was outside some kitsch wooden ski-lodge looking bar, where a live band (a cute trio) were playing covers of well known songs. We’d already agreed the day before that a German sausage for dinner was a must, so that’s where we headed next, please admire the photo below.

After satisfying our bellies we stopped off at the carousel bar, before taking a lovely stroll through the christmas markets.
We ended up in another ski-lodge looking bar where we acquired another drink along with a cute pot of marshmallows which we roasted on an open pit fire.
As the sugar rush kicked in we found ourselves in the middle of a makeshift dance floor with complete strangers dancing to 80’s disco. Yes… this happened… in the middle of Hyde Park on a Thursday night. (I’ll save you the videos…)

WW8

Overall, I would recommend a visit. For me it was such a nice evening to just go and relax in good company where there were lots of giggles!
