I’m pretty sure this is up there as one of Hertfordshire’s best kept secrets!
We commonly know Osprey for its luxury leather goodies, however tucked down a little lane in Hertfordshire we stumble across the Osprey Outlet (don’t let the word “outlet” put you off, it’s presented far from outlet standard!)
I originally discovered this gem when I was going through the torture of having blood tests every 2 weeks, it started to become ritual that we’d end up here for cake and coffee. Not only is the cake freshly homemade but it’s also gluten free! Which if like me you and gluten aren’t friends then this is a MASSIVE bonus!
This Saturday I was at a loose end and craving a bowl of delicious soup. Racking my brains of all the restaurants / cafes I know, I couldn’t think of where to get my soup satisfaction. Having never had anything other than cake at Osprey I quickly googled away to find my prayers had been answered!
15 minutes later I’m sat at a beautiful table surrounded by heavenly Osprey interiors being served none other than a classic bowl, which may I add was huge, of roasted red pepper and tomato soup!

Now, I was pretty full after, but it seemed blasphemous to not order cake and coffee…
I apologies for my awful photo of the cake, but there were two pairs of hands dying to tuck into it. I ordered my all time favourite salted caramel and banana cake… DIVINE !

If you’re in the Hertfordshire area and fancy a light snack and shop around some of the most beautiful english leather then here’s your dream destination!
